Privacy Notice

This notice describes information handled when someone visits Somerset County Recent Arrests, uses a partner search tool, or sends a message. It also explains routine technical collection and available privacy choices. Effective September 10, 2026.

Information You Submit

A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the independent provider operating that tool. Somerset County Recent Arrests does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. A message sent by email or through a contact form may include the sender's name, email address, and message. That material is retained as needed to reply and is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is legally required.

Automatic Technical Data

Like most websites, server and analytics systems may receive basic data with each page request. This may include:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent;
  • the referring website, when supplied; and
  • date and time stamps.

Cookies may help measure site use and support features. Browser controls can reject or erase cookies, although blocking them may change how some functions work.

How Data Is Used

Collected data supports the site's ordinary operation. It may be used to keep pages responsive, route a query to the selected partner, learn which resources visitors use, diagnose faults, and present advertising that may reflect general interests.

External Sites and Advertising

Links may lead to the Somerset County detention roster, sheriff and police records pages, courts, corrections systems, federal locators, news sources, or independent search services. Each destination applies its own privacy policy after a visitor leaves this site. Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across sites. That collection occurs on their systems.

Parties Receiving Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may reach search partners that process a submitted query, analytics vendors, advertising networks, and law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order.

Reasonable Security Measures

Standard safeguards are used to protect information. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security, however, and this policy does not claim that a breach is impossible.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to request deletion if a minor submitted information.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, request correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Send a request through the Contact Us page.
